Gears of war was the best game of 2006 with little compatition other than oblivion. It's single player is great, and adding the 3 difficulty levels and the co-op(online or off) gives the campaign tons of replay value. The versus online mode is pretty sweet, but it would have been nice if the game had more large scale maps, since most of them are pretty small in size. Also, there are so many kids that just try to get "x" kills for an achievment, so they will only try to get kills that way and they usually don't make it far before the other team just follows thier patterns every match and take them out. Plus, all of the trash talkers are way too serious and they're reallyannoying, but it can sometimes be funny when two kids are dukin it out in between every match. Despit the flaws of online play, it is still one of the best ones around and should NOT be missed by anyone, and I mean anyone at all. Gears of War is the killer app of the 360 and I cannot emphisize enough that you need to play this game if you own an xbox 360.
