I'm not much of a first-player shooter type of gamer. When I do play these types of games, they are usually on a PC since I feel more comfortable using a mouse and keyboard. And I feel I have never been very good at these types of games, especially in the multi-player environment. However, sometimes a FPS game will come by that just hooks me. And this is one of them.

Gears of War has a pretty good story and game-play. The controls seem very fluid for me, and that says a lot for someone that is accustomed to PC gaming. When I first started the game I was planning to only play for about 30 minutes to give it a shot. Next thing I knew a couple hours went by. The graphics and audio of this game is in the range of "kick ass" on my scale.

I pretty new to console gaming, specially games with "complicated" controllers like the Xbox 360 (bear with me, I've used a mouse and keyboard for many years!) . But this game is getting me very comfortable with the controller and FPS's in general.

Once I get more comfortable with the controls, I plan to get into some multi-player action.
