Warning ..... Hired this game when it first appeared and didn't like it ... have bought it again and ........?
Whats all this got to do with GOW??????
Well back in Nov/Dec 06 when I hired the game at first, I found it very hard to see what was going on on the screen. My old TV was a JVC 28" CRT (flat tube etc.) Very nice set but not HD at all. Playing via a s-video picture the characters can get lost on the screen and aiming is harder.
I know this as I rebought the game today and have replayed it on the new HD set. At 1080i it is amazing. Sharp crisp grahics and a lot easyier even on co-op to see what is going on.
Game play is a cross between Vegas and Halo 2. Some hiding and covering fire with the blast everything aspect as well.
Playing on a HD TV makes the difference to me of giving this a 5 out of 10 and a 9.5 out of 10. Better Zooming on weapons is my only issue.
I know that a HD tv makes it look better but I had a SD CRT for 3 months and some games are fine with SD CRT monitors. Not GOW.
If you have a HD TV and want a halo type of game with a story mode then spend your money. At times you'll think you are watching a film.
Highly recommeded.
