ok i take back my previous review. the game is good but online kinda sucks at times. epic and great till the end.
Gears of war starts out with a lack of knowlage of whats going on but it does tell you that you are in a post-apocoliptic world ruled by the locust; a alien race bent on elliminating mankind. you take the form of Marcus Fenix; a soldier who disobeyed orders and gets thrown in a prison. he gets out years later with the help of Dom who might be the only friend he has. after Marcus sees the crap that happened to earth while locked up he joins the COG; a resistance group bent of destroying the locust. Gameplay is well done with a over the sholder type camera with a zoom for aiming weapons and nothing much new. except for the roadie run; everything else is standard 3rd person shooter. Graphics are good looking while sometimes you might not be able to see your enemys with the darkness but it takes getting used to. Sound and voice acting are good and shed some light on the past of your allies and music sets the mood. online play is another story. while you can have co-op for the story which is cool. the major downfall is the internet connection will suck if you host matches. being kicked out during a heated match or not being able to get on at all kinda sucks! otherwise anytime you get on its heart pumping goodness. but there are some crappy glitches like your chainsaw might not come on when you want it to[cause im a chainsaw whore so don't whine] and the freezing when you are about to use it too kill the fun quickly. this game might have its problems but its definatly worth your time especially since single player and online are REALLY addicting well i wrote a pretty good review so please don't erase this.
