The Plot: Simply put, you are an incarcerated ex-soldier accused of desertion who is released to help eliminate the Locust, a race of subterranean monsters who have ravaged humanity for over a decade. That same old plot! HAHA. You play the role of Marcus Fenix, a decorated ex-soldier who was imprisoned after he defied orders by unsuccessfully attempting to save his family. One day as the locust are beginning to overrun the prison where he is housed he is rescued by one of his fellow soldiers who inform him he is being released to help fight the Locust. It is eventually left up to Marcus to eliminate the entire Locusts underground stronghold. But he does not do this alone. He is placed in command of a small squadron of elite soldiers called The Gears. They consist of the quiet yet fierce Dominic, the greatly built but fun-loving Augustus Cole, and rounding out the group is the mechanically savvy and the ( to Marcus’ chagrin) outspoken Baird. You will lead this ragtag (and slightly psychotic at times) group of soldiers against the extremely grotesque and powerful Locust.
The Good: there are several components of this game that would fall into this category. One of them being the Amazing graphics of the game. Another being the innovative covering and combat elements that make this one of a kind. The cinematic are thrilling and keep you entranced. The dynamic of the differing personalities give this a real life feel. That is not even mentioning the awesome multi player modes. There are few games that can match this game in level of entertainment in either single or multi-player modes.
The Bad: The few mistakes with game are extremely visible being that there is little else to as you have a strict story to play and nothing else to do. Even the multi player mode is extremely restricted in what you can do with few options as to game modes.
My Opinion: In my opinion it is the best sci-fi shooter since the Halo series. Plain and Simple. A must have for 360 owners.
