A kick in the gut that first person shooters and third person shooters needed.A grity adult game that feels like war.
No more run and gun through waves of enemy's unscathed.The use of cover in this game is great.Plus it's a necessity.You actually get heightened adrenalin in the moments when you are in red and under cover hoping you do not get hit.Plus the fact that you manually reload your gun adds to the game.Jamming your gun though frustrating is also another oh crap adding moment that would not be there if not for the active reloads.I don't dig the magic bullets part of it but the whole I've got to reload faster than this guy or I'm dead is sweet.
I love that there is no jumping in this game.I don't mean diving from cover to cover I mean a battle on a trampoline (see Halo series).Stay low get to cover and get the upper hand.
What makes this game is the CO-OP.When strategy really plays a role.Helping your downed friend or laying down fire so they can get a better position is great fun.It just works very well in this game.Single player is fun but Dom lacks the AI to play as a real player would.Witch I'm shore will be addressed in any future games.
The multiplayer is the only week spot.However I try to not grade games based on the multiplayer.Because for me it is not the game.plus not everyone can play it.I will say for what it is it is fun.It has many things that can be fixed and other than Assassination the modes are cool.I like that they are team based.If not for the people that take advantage if the glitches in the multiplayer it would be even better.There is a host issue that needs to be dealt with.Even with all that I still play and have loads of fun.
So my score is based on the Single player and CO-OP campaign.
