Sure, it might be alittle over-rated, but there's no denying the satifying action that you should at the very least try.

Let's get it out of the way, shall we, this game looks unbelievable even on a standard def, tv. I'm gonna try to avoid the graphics from now on because everyone and their grandma know that this game looks great. Next up is the sound which is also pretty great, the weapons all sound distinctive and the explosions are nice. The voices of all the characters are very bad ass and gravely giving the game a crazy action movie vibe. Like a crazy action movie, there's not much to the story but what is there is interesting enough to give the excellent action context. The single player (or co-op) campaign will last the average shooter fan around 8 hours of less, but it's worth revisiting to collect all the cog tags and to play with your friends in co-op. The campaign is fun and features some great looking enviroments and a few boss fights, none of which are very challenging. The multi-player is also pretty short like the campaign in that there are only 4 modes, all of which are similar, and about I think 15 maps which are all very detailed and well made. This game can be very awesome if played with a group of friends. This game is not great because it's got a lengthy and varied campaign (it doesn't) or because it's multi-player is deep and can be taylored for any style of play (once again, it's not) but rather because the mechanics of aiming and moving and shooting are so great. The act of chainsawing someone or tearing them apart with a shotgun blast is amoung the most satisfying in recent memory. This is not the ultimate must have game it has been made out to be because it doesn't have enough modes to keep you coming back but rather, should be checked out for it's excellent action. Every 360 owner should check this out (if you haven't already) just know you'll end up coming back again and again because the game plays so well, not because it's it has gameplay options up to the roof.
