Just another generic shooter with a gimmicky premise
The minute you load up the game, you are treated with piss poor graphics. I swear I thought this was an N64 game! This wouldn't be a problem if the game were fun. Its not. It starts you off as some guy named John Raimi. I didn't know who this guy was, nor did I care. There isn't even some sort of "story" here. Oh it tries to have a story, but it quickly gets pushed aside in favor of boring shooting, poorly executed ghost powers, and bland objectives.
What was with the voice acting? Heck there was hardly any. The game sometimes uses voice acting and sometimes very stupid text. Note to the makers of this game: CHOICE ONE FORM OF ACTING, NOT BOTH! Don't use text during in game and voice acting during cinematics. Its brings you out of the game! NOt in it!
Don't believe the postive review from Gamespot. This is just a generic boring shooter disguised with a gimmicky premise. Unless you're curious, save this only for a cheap rental. Otherwise, don't waste your time. There are much better games out there. In an age where games like Resident Evil 4 exist, Geist is lacking far behind in the dust.
