Amazingly deep and satisfying... after you overcome the highly draining learning period(s)..
So there I was stuck with the game, I tried it for the second time, I got even more frustrated that I almost threw my PSP across the room.
Then I read an article over the net from GAMEFAQS, the writer gave his views on how to understand the flow of the game, it helped me a lot, and then the game got interesting..
After hours of play, I can finally smile as I got past the first Chapter (after 3hrs+).
This game is GREAT, trust me! The Japanese Anime-rich animations are awesome. The music score is good as well.
I love Turn-Based Strategy games namely FF Tactics (on GBA), Vanguard Bandits & Brigandine (on PSX), Advance Wars & Fire Emblem Series (on GBA), Romance of the Three Kingdom Series (on PC, PSX and PS2).
The rules of thumb are :
(1) Keep your manual handy during initial play, you definitely need it..
(2) Understand that BLUE means BAD (decreased) and RED means GOOD (increased), ie. attributes like STR, INT etc.
(3) The game is in a continuation form, and the map will expand chapter by chapter, so it is a good idea if you fortify and market your cities to the max before ending the chapter so that it is manageable.
The game's graphics are somewhat amazing as well, contrary to the review by Gamespot.
There will be only either one of these two outcomes if u play this:
either you'll LOVE or just regret that you had ever bought it, no border-line interests here..
