I was very exited about this game after being a fan of geometry wars one, but I wasn't expecting it to be this awesome. For one thing, I don't get how they did it, but they made it even more trippy. Believe me, if you were on acid, shrooms, ecstasy, or any other kind of psychedelic drug (which I am definitely not supporting), you would blow your own mind by looking at the gameplay. Graphics are truly amazing. As I said, even more trippy. Sound is truly amazing. For evolved mode they upgraded the song so it is even cooler, and the other five modes cool songs too. The GAMEPLAY is extremely fun, with five new modes, they made the selection of things even better. King and Pacifism are my favorite because they are truly different and entertaining. Sequence is IMPOSSIBLE once you get to the extremely intense parts, and waves can get pretty intense. Deadline is OK, but it is basically evolved with unlimited lives for three minutes. But all of them are intense, while maintaining a balance to keep it entertaining. The fact that they made multiplayer is great too. Co-op and multiplayer are great. Now that you can have two people on one guy is challenging and fun. There are only two downsides to this game. The first is lack of online play. They have leaderboards but that's it for xbox live which is very disappointing. The other thing, which isn't bad to me but can be bad to some people, is that there is a lack of the original retro mode. In Geometry wars one, there was evolved and retro, but in Geometry wars two, there are five other modes but no retro. In my opinion, I hated retro, but I knew some people who would rather play on retro than evolved so for people like that, that is a bad thing. But overall, this game is amazing, definitely in the top 15 Xbox Live Arcade Games for me. But before getting this game, check out Braid. It is way better in my honest opinion.
