So when I was a kid I used to pop quarters into Robotron: 2084. Good game. Two joysticks? No buttons?! Then came along Smash TV. Great game! It had charachter, a story (sort of), and carnage. I was hooked. The sub genre seemed to die off for awhile, but is now back stronger than ever in Geometry Wars Evolved. Very simple tribute to old school gaming with great fluid controls and sounds. The graphics are simple but fit the game perfectly. The game simply requires you to sweat and destroy everything in your path. I actually prefer Mutant Storm but this game will only cost you alf the points so that sealed the deal for me.
