When I first turned on Ghostbusters for Wii, I was hooked. As a huge GB fan, I couldn't have been more excited to here that rockin' theme song, and see my favorite characters riding around in the Ecto-1. I knew this was going to be great.

The style of Ghostbusters is unique and definitely works. The characters are like caricatures of the real actors, and this animation gives it an awesome feel. It's like they have exagerated features, but at the same time look so real and true to themselves, its hard to explain. The graphics are great. Not perfect, but right up there. Sometimes the Ghostbusters look a little unpolished and there was one instince of slow down, but still the graphics are pretty good. The firehouse where they work acts as the main hub and it is incredibly detailed. You feel like you have been totally immersed in the Ghostbusters HQ. Slimer is there in the office, as well as Janine. You can even slide down the fire poles to get to the Ecto-1 for a mission. The music is right from the movies, and only makes you feel even more like you're a part of the movie. What really pushes this game over the top, before even talking about the actual gameplay, is the voices. It's all the real actors from the movies providing the voiceovers, which is how it should be. This is what really makes it Ghostbusters. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson.

The gameplay is really good. The controls are great because it doesn't abuse the Wii's motion controls. You hold B to fire and then when a ghost is weakened, you swing the remote in the direction it shows to slam the ghost into a wall to knock it out. Then you push Z to drop the trap and suck it up inside. Now at this point I have not finished the game, but I'm far along and I have not come across any problems. The camera even is great. Nothing wrong at all. The Co-op mode only enhances the gameplay, and the collectible art pages and ghost scans add to the replay value. It has a lot to offer considering its only real major flaw....It is really SHORT! I'm not finished, but with only a few hours play I'm almost done. That is its only problem, is that it could have been longer. But the game is so much fun, that it doesn't matter.

Overall Ghostbusters is a truly fantastic game. It is entertaining, hilarious, looks great, sounds great, controls are smooth, has some definite replay value, and is downright fun. Even if you are not a Ghostbusters fan, it certainly has appeal. I mean come on, who doesn't want to fight a giant 12 story marshmallow man?
