I'm not going to go in a long review here as gamespot's done a good job of that. The thing I want to express in this review is that the core gameplay tends to get boring pretty fast. It's fun to start with as you slam the ghosts around to weaken them but eventually fighting ghosts becomes tedious using the same few weapons. While they do some clever things with the bosses to mix it up, to get there you still have to slog it out with the lowlies first.
I wish there was more variety in weapons and maybe a greater sense of spookiness as you go around exploring, searching for ghosts. I understand it's not a survival horror game but a bit of tension would have helped enhance the experience.
The characters and the writing are enough to get you through one play through but that is about it. Don't expect too much. My advice is to wait till the price drops and buy it then.
