Ahh another Resident Evil esk game. For starters do not start playing this game thinking its going to be completely different from a Res game...cause its not (besides the whole ghost hunting thing :D). Now that ive got that off my chest time to start reviewing. Ghost Hunter is one of those rare games that comes along and trys to scare the gamer by using creppy looking monsters and deranged monologs. Well not rare...just Ghost Hunter does it really well. From ghost appearing behind you, to the humming of a small child. Now to tell you alittle about the specs of this great game. Gameplay wise your not going to find to much difference from this engine and one of Silent Hill or Resident Evil. Although almost the same the ghost and how you defeat them is how this game makes you wanting to capture more. At times I felt that they just took two concepts 'GhostBusters + Resident Evil = Ghost Hunter' and created this game. Now Graphics wise, its not the most polished graphics that you will see. Although they are not terrible, they are your common ps2 grapics with some nice Ghost and Human graphics. The sound in this game could be alittle better. At some points in the game the voice overs will become incredibly low and almost hard to hear. But when the voice overs are loud and understandable it gets you really involved in the game. Also when monsters start to scream, or come flying towards you, the sound that comes from these monsters almost sounds like they are really comming out of the screen. Nice touch namco! Now for Vaule.....well just like most Resident Evil and Silent Hill games, once is enough. Once you finish the game, you've pretty much now know the plot and what will happen. So the replay vaule isnt to high. All in all this game is a must have if you are a die hard Res van, and it should hold you over untill Silent Hill : The Room comes out. And besides who doesnt want to capture ghost just like the good ole GhostBusters.
