Gladius doesn''t offer what other RPGs for the cube do.
Other RPGs for the Cube which I came across takes you on an Adventure while Gladius do have a story behind it and sets you on a quest but the game delivers challenge more than a plot.
The Battles are team play and take place in Arenas which are square based. Each character in the Arena has it's own turn to move or attack.
The turns are depend on The speed of The characters.
There are many ways to win in the battles besides killing all opposing teams. There are various types of battles like : King of the Hill, Blowing Barrels and more.
Strategy is needed if you wanna be the victorious.
Most of the game you find your self traveling between arenas in the world map to do battles -> to Level up your Party -> to qualify them to do more battles.
Gladius lacks the Magic which other RPG games such as Tales of Symphonia and Baten Kaitos have.
If you're enjoying RPGs just for the bashing and mashing, then Gladius is the game for you. If you
