The first few seconds of this let you know how you are going to feel about this game. Most people know that this game will be one they want to play through to the end and then come back and try it again. God of War is a groundbreaking game in this genre. The combat is fast paced and non-stop and while it may seem like this game is just for button masher's at times, with a number of combo's and different magical attacks along with the mini-games you can use to finish off different enemies the combat seems varied and challenging throughout the entire game. The story line of the game mixed with the very detailed and thought-out back story make sure that this game is not just your everyday fantasy hero game that you have played before. It is obvious by the end that Kratos is a very tormented soul and you even find yourself feeling sorry for him. All around a terrific game, very fun with quite a few memorable battles and cut scenes that you will remember for a while. God of War gets it right from beginning to end.
