one of the best games i've played but a bit too short!
For those of you who have not had the pleasure of taking this game for a spin, its sorta like if Tomb Raider was set in ancient greece and instead of playing lil old Lara you took control of a massive tank bloodthirsty guy name Kratos. You spend most of your time hackin and slahing through armies of horrid monsters with cool and brutal attacks like literally ripping them apart and for a small bit you will be doin puzzles which still manage to keep up the dark, brutal tone of the game.
As you fight through the game you find more about your beloved character Kratos, i say beloved because by the end of the game you feel sort of attatched to this menacing killer. The way the story grabs your attention is just like all the other aspects of the game like the awesome attacks and creative enemies based on Ancient Greek myth. And you'll see your share of monsters and definatly see your share of blood and gore.
The sound is what you'd expect for the most part with screams and menacing gores from the monsters and sounds most affiliated with gory horrors. But the music is what sets it different with some particularily thunderously imensing tunes that only add more quality to the gameplay
Some of the bits i didn't like about it were it's length which seemed a bit short for me but also the boss battle at the end is quite annoying as in the first time you think you've beaten him but then you have to do all this other stuff only to have to fight him again. Which i know is part of the climax and shows Kratos' change in beliefs but is annoying from a gamers point of view because when you finally meet this god of war u wanna slice him but you have to do a whole bunch of stuff before you can. But besides that an epic, gory, brutal masterpiece!
