God of War is set in Greek Mythology and features Kratos, who has to kill the god of war, Ares, for sacrificing his family to save his own life, only to become his slave for eternity. It is, without a doubt, the most violent and gruesome game ever to hit action adventure games (besides Manhunt) and does a damn good job at doing so. This Jeff guy knew exactly what he was doing when making the famous game, and so it goes on. It scored big at E3, won a couple of awards here and there and went on to become one of the best games on the planet. Graphically it looks, feels and sounds like what you would expect in a Mythological romp. Cerberus, Zeus, Olympus, Cyclops', Athens and Hydes. The game is long enough to be pleasing, and there is a ton of replay value to catch the things you've missed. Kratos sure knows how to kick mythological ass. It has it's fair share of nudity (oh-la-la) and disturbing but freakin' awesome violence. If the touching story and the nude chicks don't drive you along than the violence will.
