God of War is one of the most atmospheric game experiences ever.

User Rating: 9.6 | God of War (Greatest Hits) PS2
I though alot about buying this game, cause of the high violence and use of language. But after thinking about it for a long time I finally bought the game. And I'm glad I did, cause this game is just awesome.

The graphics are the best I've seen on the Playstation 2 and shows us that the so called dated PS2 still has something to show us. kratos lookes awesome, and the environments are maybe the best ever. Santa Monica has done so much work into making GoW look like the Greek Mythologies it's unbelievable. The creatures you fight are also jawdropping. You fight huge cyclops, three headed beasts, and of course medusa. This game is a joy just watching, you can only imagine how it is playing it.

The sounds are just like the graphics, brilliant. A online game site wrote that the music could have been in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King and it would still get an oscar for it, and that's so true. Also the sound effects are awesome, the beasts really sound frightening and the voice overs are top notch.

God of War features some really great fighting, an exciting story, maybe the most macho game hero ever, and an atmosphere that's really unike for a game. God of War has received top ratings all over the world, and there's really no question why. A game set to the Greek Mythology with some awesome graphics, and intense storyline, and a fantasticly brutal fighting system. If you own a Playstation 2 you should really buy God of War, you simply shouldn't miss out this game. If you don't own a Playstation 2, there are many reasons to buy one, and God of War is one the biggest.

Great story. The best graphics the PS2 has ever shown of. Very atmospheric music, and some great sound effects and voice acting. It's set to the Greek Mythologies! There are many goodies that unlocks when you finish the game. High replay value.

The game is quite short, and it doesn't last more than around 15 hours the first time.
