In the few months that remain until the new PS3 comes out, I decided to go all out and buy the most hyped games for the PS2. I am not disapointed to have included God of War in the list. From beginning to end, it's compelling, engaging, entertaining, and best of all, it grabs you and never lets go. The inclusion of Greek Mythology is seamless to Kratos life and is pretty interesting. The visuals are superb, only marred my a few drops in frame-rate (which in my case were annoying), but the no loading times more than makes up for it. The boss battles are amazing, and the adding of the timed button pressing adds tension and excitement to the already thrilling boss battles, too bad there´s only few of them. The sound score is AMAZING, best I've heard in any game, it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand! The difficulty is just right, so just about any gamer can pick up and play it. The animations are top of the line. The story makes you love Kratos, even though he was more evil than some villains on other video games. His story is so deep, that it could well be one of the best in video games. I loved the game for the locales, they are amazing, and they make you appreciate the Greek heritage left behind. I highly recommend this game, add it to you collection, you wouldn't want to skip this masterpiece!
