This adventure would need a strong stomach and an affinity for brutality

User Rating: 9.6 | God of War (Greatest Hits) PS2
One of the best action games ever made. It is a graphically violent game full of death, chaos, and sexual content. If you are younger than 18, we suggest you stay away. The makers made sure that anyone who started this adventure would need a strong stomach and an affinity for brutality. If this sounds remotely reminiscent of your own personality, then congratulations, you've earned the right to read on. God of War packs smooth, intuitive controls within a seamless stream of combat, an awesome score that would be at home in a first rate Hollywood blockbuster, and an intriguing story that never fails to keep you playing. You will find it hard to put down your controller once you start, considering that the first boss fight takes place about five minutes into the game. Speaking of which, these are some of the most amazing boss battles seen in a long time. And i played a lot of action adventures like ninja gaiden enz

A huge part of the story takes place within Pandora's Temple, a place designed by an architect gone mad on orders from the gods. For the most part the puzzles are really smart. If you can't figure something out, then you just haven't noticed the visual clue that's been left for you. Nothing for me was guess work. Sure I was frustrated at times, but then I'd notice the moveable statue or piece of rope hanging from a rafter and have an "AHA!" moment and felt really specialthat i solved it on my own..lol

Kratos is best described as Achilles without the heel; he is ruthless, bloodthirsty, and full of vengeance. God of War takes everything you love about Greek mythology, splatters some blood on it, and sticks you in the midle of the fray.
