A rare game ... action packed but with a great story. You play as Kratos, servant of the gods and warrior extraordinaire. Your quest is to destroy Ares, the evil god of war. At the game's start nothing is known about your character and you jump right into the combat that feels very intuitive. Right away you can begin mauling your enemies in pretty amazing ways.

As the game progresses however, you are fed pieces of Kratos's story, bit by bit. You will also learn new abilities, new combos, and meet new enemies. There is always some challenge present, but you will be given more than enough of an arsenal to destroy it.

This game is a great mix of many gaming elements .. predominantly action, but a healthy amount of platforming and a story to rival some of the finest roleplaying games.

God of War will set the standard for action games to come.
