when this game came out, i didnt have a ps2. i was so anxious to play this game that, finally i bought a ps2 from my friend. and did this game live up to all the hype? i played it for a little while now,and the answer is a big HELLS YEAH !!!!!!!!!!
from the very begining this game grabs you by the neck, and doesnt wanna let go. from the amazingly rendered context sensitive attacks that lead to earth shattering combos to the fantastic anti-hero Kratos, this game is a full on thrill ride.
BUT be warned, this is a mature game for MATURE gamers. expect things that you would expect in an "ACTION" game. full on dark vionlence of the heaviest kind. learn GTA , this is how its DONE !!!!!!!!!! (with out getting sued)
the Graphics are decent BUT AMAZING CONSIDERING PS2 STANDARDS. its no match for the likes of ninja gaiden or resident evil 4 , but it sure puts of a hell of a fight. its sad that is game is restricted beacause of the ps2's hardware.
the sound effects during fights are punishing and brutal.but the background didnt quite impress me. i know its a greek myth game, but a few heavy metal chords couldve helped to get the blood pumping during those fantastic boss battles.
its simple, if you own a ps2, get this game!!!!! it is THAT GOOD!!!!!
