God of war. What more is there need to say. It basically ROCKS. hahaha gameplay is fun, simple and most importantly GORY. it provides such an excellent storyline one Ive never heard of. its gameplay maybe a button masher. BUT as you upgrade it gets better and better. with magic to add :) if youve finished the game you can unlock armour bonus stuff. all those kind of extras. gameplay is solid. story could be longer but im not blaming SCEA, its the first of its kind and its hard to work on a solid storyline in the first game. the puzzles are some what easy to do. replay value is fun. finish it in easy you get new armour medium new armour etc etc. the thing that really brings it to life is god mode. the hardest difficulty. dont expect to fly through the game with that set on. its graphic is one of the best ive seen on the ps2 engine, soundtracks and sound effects are excellent with music that inspires you too rip more bodies apart and enemies will keep flowing towards you. enemies vary from normal human sized to humungous cyclops. boss battles well they are only what 2/3 i dont know maybe 4(?) of them and all of them dont take to much hardwork because they use the typical health bar kinda boss battles. overall if your into action adventure with a little side plate of gory amazing story line fun gameplay well this is the dish for you. i recommend any playstation owner to get this game if you havent played it.
