They did everything right. A warlord that promises his life to the God of War, Ares (known for his violent and horrific attitude toward battle), in exchange for the ability to vanquish his foes. Before God of War this spelled a really cool set up for an action adventure game. But God of War takes this to a whole new level. You take the role of a barbaric, mentally disturbed and EXTREMELY violent warrior hell-bent for revenge against the warrior god that drove him to deeds beyond even his own horribly violent tastes. And thats the nice description. You go to war against your enemies. Not just hack, hack your dead. Slaughter the beasts and monsters created by the ancient greek gods the only way you really could. With lots and LOTS of creative violence. You start the game off with the ability to swing two nasty enflamed swords around by chains attached to your wrists (soooo cool) and then acquire more and more fantastic moves and weapons. God of War doesn't hold back and deserves it's M. Definately not for the kids, this game WILL make you squeel with joy like one. And 2 is already coming... PLUS now it's a greatest hit! Buy it and believe!
