Epic!
This game is hard so you will probably get frustrated at least once especially towards the end of the game. Another thing is the combat can get somewhat repetitive because you will rely on button mashing throughout the game. Although it might seem repetitive it is made better by a variety of enemies, upgradeable attacks, and magic.
This game has a great, somewhat tragic, but epic story line. Not only is the story epic but the whole game has an epic feeling to it. The big enemies, huge bosses, and giant levels give the game a massive feeling. There are also some good puzzles although they are sometimes a little hard to figure out but it's a good thing otherwise the whole game would be button mashing with little to no thinking involved. The graphics are also amazing, probably the best on the ps2. Sound is also great, making the blood soaked action sound very real.
I will eventually get the second game (and maybe the third) because it was so good. I have never wanted to play a sequel so badly. If you weren't lucky enough to play this game yet you should pick it up. It is only 20 bucks which is a good deal. This game is very satisfying and a must own for anyone with a ps2.
