Even 2 years after its release this game is quite impressive!

I sold my PS2 before I ever had a chance to play this game when it first came out. Now I own a XBOX 360 and a Playstation 3. After getting use to the next gen graphics, I didn't think I could ever go back and play a PS2 game, but I gave it chance since it was only $20. WOW, this game is awesome! The graphics are amazing in 480P. For those of you who do not have a TV that supports progressive scan, you are missing out. There are plenty of cool beasts to fight. The story is very good, which makes you want to learn more about this Kratos character. The gameplay is fantastic. There are many puzzles, some that are straight forward and others that may make you think a little. The puzzles are similar to Tomb Raider if you had to compare. As you progress in the game, you eventually unlock new abilities keeping the gameplay fresh and new. After you beat the game, you unlock some cool features and a little more info on the Kratos character. You also open up 10 challenges in which if you beat them you open up new costumes. This is not easy to accomplish, however. You also open up God mode, a very difficult level if you want to replay the game. They do reward you for passing the game in God mode by providing more info on the life of Kratos. This game offers lots of gore, nudity, sex, violence, an excellent story and killer graphics. And for only $20 now, you cannot pass this game up. I will definitely be getting God of War 2 in the near future.
