Good try, but not convincing
First the good stuff. The makers put in a superb effort to give the player the idea he's really a tormented half-God, finding it's way through the ruins of Greece. The colors and background are amazing, the graphics of you and your opponents are just right. The number of different opponents and the way they look must have been the result of months and months of research and development. Great job, really.
Now the bad part. It's hard to explain but i always had the feeling that my movements were limited. I'm not talking about the different ways you can smash your opponents, that part is more than ok. I'm talking about the fact that the path you follow in the game is limited. You go left / right, you climb up or down ... you know, kinda like the early PC - games. On the way you encounter a large amount of opponents and all you do actually is bashing them up. Bashing them up in a great surrounding and with inventive fighting skills, but still it's bashing.
Anyway, it was a good gaming experience... but i won't be buying part II
