A must have game for any PSP collection.

User Rating: 8.5 | God of War: Chains of Olympus PSP
INTRO
This being the 3rd Installment of the God Of War series and 1st for PSP. The porting to PSP is smooth and fun to play.

Story and Content:
The story of this installment takes place before the first God Of War. The opening scene takes a fantasy approach to the Persians attacking. You play Kratos as you start hacking and slashing your way through bad guys. The detailed used of history is great, the use of gods and titans and their stories unfold very well and flow with the game.

Game play:
As mention you control Kratos. Along the way you get stronger through power ups and items you find. With these added items com more moves and special attacks. The fun is using finishing moves that showcase some extreme violence. Along you journey you will find puzzles to solve, some might be simple as moving some blacks to a little more complicated ones. As with previous GoW you are required to follow certain moves to kill bosses and their minions. The controls are easy to use and remember.

Graphics:
Awesome graphics from beginning to end. The details of your surrounding immerse you in the game completely. For every mission you cannot ignore the beauty of your surroundings. Almost movie like is some areas and the close ups of the cut-scenes are decent considering the limitations of a PSP.

Sound and Music:
The sounds are decent as you can tell when swords hit or miss, grunting and so forth. The game music is dark as suits the game very well. The music gets you going and you get deeper into the game.

Difficulty:
You initially have two settings. Once you are used to playing the game and finish it once on normal, you can choose a harder setting. The game is quite challenging at harder settings but no enough to get you frustrated and abandon the game. The harder setting also make replaying the game a bit more interesting and enjoyable.

Final Thoughts:
This is one of the better titles to be released on PSP. If you own a PSP this game should be in your collection. With all the details and great play brings a slight downside to the game, the whole game is short. I was happy that I finished the game but was disappointed I finished it so quickly. This one little detail shouldn’t hold you back from acquiring the game.
