Another amazing entry in the God of War series.
Graphics: 9.8
GOW boast lavish scenery and smooth textures whilst keeping a fantastic frame-rate. Never once did the game slowdown or struggle even when over 20 enemies were fighting you at once. GOW is a technical feat and one of the main highlights of the game.
Sound: 9.2
With it's booming orchestra and the slice of kratos' blades, GOW's sound enhances the overall experience greatly. The haunting sounds suit the darker levels and the loud, thunderous beats fit the large open areas.
Story: 6.5
The story could have been far more fleshed out and explained far better than GOW does. When you figure it out, you realise it isn't all that intriguing and you wonder if this is all they could come up with. That's not to say it is terrible in the slightest. Some will enjoy, others will ignore.
Gameplay: 9.4
GOW has some of the most frantic, bloody and exciting fights and platforming i have seen in a long time. The puzzle solving is challenging yet not impossible and the battles are brutal and satisfying. The only downside is due to its linear design, invisible barriers were frequently put in places that could have easily have been removed.
Length: 7.4
GOW's story mode is rather short but there are plenty of unlockables and reasons to replay. However a few more hours could have been put in and it is quite annoying seeing a "lost levels" video where some of those levels would have been great to play.
Overall this game is ESSENTIAL and if you own a psp stop making excuses not to buy it
