This ... is ... KRAAAATOOOOS!
User Rating: 9.9 | God of War II PS2
Kratos is back and again he settles for a journey to find sisters of the fate and change his life. Gameplay: Gamplay is pretty the same as in the first part. Its a mix of bloody massacre and riddles placed in ancient greece between mighty greek Gods and ancient heroes. Kratos will meet many of them but they surely wont get alive from that meeting. But to do so he will need weapons. And this time he has 4, and its twice as much as in the first part. He also has 4 new spells. Of cource all weapons and spells are upgradable by using red orbs we collect during the game. We can also collect "Gorgon eyes" and "Phoenix feathers" to upgrade Kratos health and Magic bar. It will be necessary cause the game can be really hard sometimes especially on higher dificulty levels and thats why we have to learn the combo and fighting system very well. The combo system is very good. You can create very good combos without too much effort but those mad combo-makers will find something for themselfs too. Also the "finishing enemies system" is back, so whenever you see an orange circle above enemy head you can brutally finish his life by pressing and mashing buttons and twisting the analog stick while they appear on the screen . For example Kratos just rips Cerberus heads one by one with his hands or rips enemy hand still holding an axe and kills him with it. To say massacre is not enough, the new name for massacre is Kratos. Graphics: Great! Its one of the prettiest games for Playstation 2. Kratos, his enemies and the landscape is really perfectly done so are the Hi -Definition cutscenes. Sound: Nice. It fits the Kratos bloody journey perfectly. Just by hearing this music you can say that this game is about Mythology. Special Features: The so called "treasures" are very nice addition to the game. We`ve got:
-Challenges with many special costiumes and urns to win.
-Urns that add Kratos special abilities and power ups that we can use in Bonus play.
-Cutscenes that now we can watch anytime we want.
-Bonus play in which we can go throught the game once again with unlocked weapons and magic spells.
So is the new adventure of Kratos worth buying? Of cource it is!
For me its 1# game of 2007 year so dont wait and buy it now.
