God of War II is the righteous sequel to God of War, and I'm sure that everyone whose played both games would agree. Although it has all of the fun that it's prequel had, it is an even better game because of the variety of new things Kratos can do and the new boss battles he gets himself involved in. The first two hours alone of this game are more than enough to get any one hooked. However, keep in mind that the puzzles of this game are also a step up from the previous God of War as they are more difficult this time around (so anyone who got frustrated with the first God of War will get even more frustrated w/ this one). But in the end, you get to appreciate all of the puzzles as it's pretty obvious that SCEA incorporated a certain level of ingeniousness into all of them. The sound and graphics of this game are great for the PS2, and the cutscenes look especially spectacular. I can't say much though for the story as it is fairly simple and could have been made much more complex, but I suppose that this could be qualified as one of those "brawn not brains" kind of game, so the lacking story is, in a sense, somewhat fitting. But for anyone who has or has not played the previous God of War, this game is FUN regardless. It really has me wondering what SCEA has in store for God of War III....
