The second episode from the highly acclaimed saga based on Greek mythology: a good example of a successful sequel!
But that's not our case: God of War 2 is a good sequel which managed to provide the player with something new. Of course, most of the game mechanics from the first episode have remained, such as the mini-game kills (which are now much more easier to perform) or the high amount of blood, gore and monsters from Greek mythology which made the success of the saga.
The plot itself has been taken to an higher and amazing level: After becoming the new God of War, Kratos start another epic quest for changing his own destiny and destroying Olympus after being betrayed by the other Gods.
The first positive aspect I'd like to point out is that the combat system ha been updated with new features such as new weapons and magic allowing the player to vary his moveset and and perform much more stylish combos.
Another good point is the updated bonus system, providing you with more challenging battles and rewards, as well as the Bonus Play system (which allows you to restart a game without having to re-upgrade all your weapons and magic (which saved me more time than before).
In the end, I firmly recommend this game to those players who enjoyed the first episode and wants to start another epic quest like I did!
