Kratos and me are good now!
Like the first game, God of War II puts you in action from the very start of the game. Only this time, you're going to want to throw your godly weight around; you'll be able to use every move you learn in the first game. However, you will lose your strength thank to the "helpful" Zeus. In fact, he tells you to go to hell, literally. Now, you're going to try to reverse your fortune, and beat Zeus ass.
The sound and music are just as top-notch in this game as they were in the last one. And every single piece of voice acting has been used very well.
Now, when I played the first God of War, the fact that I could just get by with the standard combo made me want to break the disc. The good news is the gameplay (although technically unchange) improved nicely. The new moves are more than enough to keep you hooked. This also means the game continous to feel fresh, even after playing it for 5 hours. Oh, and it's longer; I'm not finished yet.
One thing that I don't understand is why people can't seem to notice the difference between the graphics in this game and the last. I did, and God of War II does look better than God of War I. It's one of the best looking games I've seen since Tekken 5.
In short, I no longer have a problem with Kratos' violent tatics. The problems of the first game have been addressed majorly, and overall, God of War II is outstanding. If you're a fan of the first game, buy this game and forfill your sick pleasure. If you're not, check it out anyway. Who knows... maybe your experience with God of War may be different.
