great sequel, yet it left me terribly hanging and disappointed
gameplay- i personally think they should've made it better. its kinda repetitive from the first and not much to look forward to. the boss fights in the game are on of the the BEST boss fights in any game ever made, and im not exagerrating either. they literally make you say "ohhhh s***!!" theres plenty of bosses to keep you busy in this one, yet not many puzzles to balance it out. the puzzles were easy too, which was kind of disappointing.
graphics- beautiful scenery. the detailing on kratos is near perfection. its really improved. the only thing that was annoying were the glitches. theres about 10 noticable glitches, unlike from number one, where u barely even notice any. still, you cant blame em for makin a game this fantastic and not have some flaws.
sound- omg i dont think you can have better music for a game like this. its so intense and it makess it feel like your in the game. its like perfect the way they use the music to amplify moments in the game. *tear* its just beautiful
story- story is perfect. period. it draws you in and you just cant resist to know what happens next. it felt like a movie as you went along. its exactly like a game version of the whole greek mythology, or some of the important parts of it. GOW2 gives key plot points to help you understand fully whats going on. the story is deeper than in number 1.
BOTTOMLINE- -GOW2 is based more on action than puzzles, unlike in #1. -2 is wayyy shorter than 1=disappointing
-*SPOILER ALERT* the ending leaves you completely hanging, and obviously giving away the fact that theyre making number three. it was effing disappointing and i was pissed off. *END SPOILER*
-the DVD bonus edition is a really nice touch. it goes deep into what really went down while making the game. in the end, it might not seem like a $50 game, but the game is worth 40 and DVD is 10, so its fair. i seriously thought there was going to be more, but God of War 2 is still a best buy, so dust off those PS2s, they still got some work to do. GOW2 = A MUST BUY.
