With it's excellent graphics,unmatched scale,good story and strong gameplay GOW 3 is arguably the best in series overall
I knew about God Of War 2 accidentally.After playing it I was again amazed with it's music with some great add ons.This one was better than the first one.But first God Of War's story was unmatched.
Recently I bought God Of War 3 and can say the following.
Graphics are nearly perfect and in some areas it was even better than Uncharted 2,a fact that I hardly believed because I thought that Uncharted 2's graphics could not be beat so soon.Character modeling of Kratos is the best I have seen in my life.Can anyone tell me another videogame character with more details than the ones on Kratos?
Another strong point is the lightning effects.It is perfect and surely beats Uncharted 2.
Overall graphics are near perfect.I say near perfect because not every part of the game is graphically equal like no other character modeling is even closer to the one of Kratos and so on.
Music is perfect.It gave me the tastes of the first and second God Of War.There are additional soundtracks with Armenian national pipe(DUDUK).That will surely give you chills.
Gameplay is the best of three.Though it is mostly unchanged but there are some really useful weapons with unique combos.There are additional items that double the fun as Helios head and Hermes boots.At last there are some familiarities with Prince of Persia like walking on the wall with Hermes boots though I didn't like the restrictions in that area.Boss fights are one of the best in gaming history.My all time favorite is Poseidon boss battle with bloody ending.Other boss fights are also ton of fun.
God of war 3's scale is really unmatched like the part with Gaia or Chronos battle and so on.It is really amazing.How the developer could do such things?
The weakest part is story though I can't blame the developers for it as the series was coming to an end and there wasn't much to be told.Though I must say that Kratos' suicide was a good idea.What else you wanted?
This game has some key parts that are unbeaten till today,honestly.You will be amazed.It's scale,graphics,camera,gameplay and score are gorgeous.Fans will be more than delighted and newcomers will surely find some jaw dropping things in this amazing game want they or not.
