Definitely worth the wait, it's all that it's cracked up to be - take your time playing it, don't rush! :D

It takes off to a fairly awesome start - from where the second one left you off at. There's some surprises to boot once you start playing through it. Just be prepared to do some button-mashing since this game has some battles where there's definitely a lot of button-mashing going on. Especially one of the final battles before you're about to beat the game. The whole story line is something that is surprising, and you will learn a lot about Kratos' past and how he came to be the person he is now. The gameplay is something that can't be changed, not even one bit. There's puzzles that will piss you off, adventures to go through, bosses to destroy and weapons/prizes to pick up along the way.
Awesome game.
Oh, and have a box of tissues with you if you're an emotional person. The ending will destroy you.
