Definitely the best game in the series. This game is amazing, a must buy PS3 exclusive. Simply Stunning
God Of War III excels in many different aspects. The graphics are outstanding. One of the best games on the PS3 i've ever seen. All the characters and enviroments look great. Speaking of environments, they are probably the best part of the game. Each area you visit is just amazing to look at. So much detail, color, and things to see. All the scale of the environments is just awesome. There are parts in the game where you are climbing titans, fighting gods, and it seriously feels like you are in the game. The camera is set up very well, and it moves at the right time to really put to scale the current situation in the game. The music in the game is also great. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it really sounds great and adds to the game. So in all the mechanics of the game are top notch and flow well together.
The gameplay part of the game is almost identical to the previous games. As Kratos, you move to new areas to progress the story. Along the way you fight plenty of enemies and bosses. Most of the fighting is used by button smashing. There are actual combos you can perform, but button mashing seems like the way to go. The action looks amazing and there is plenty of blood that accompanies each and every swipe of Kratos' blade. The enemies and bosses are great. Awesome to look at, and simple enough to play through to.
Which leads to the few bad things about this game. Like every other God of War game this one is fairly short. It can easily be beaten in under 8 or 10 hours. Also it is pretty easy on standard difficulty. So if you are a veteran of the series, I suggest trying it on hard (God mode) and it should give you more of a challenge. The fact that it was super short, was what kept this game from being perfect. But don't let that keep you from buying it. There are other modes, and unlockables throughout the game and makes it worth your money. It's just upsetting to see the main story end so soon.
