God of War raises mixed emotions in me. I absolutely love the game play. It is very simple yet it works. The gameplay is extremely fun and immersive. The story takes a new and interesting view on Greek mythology so I found the story to be very well executed. The ending did however leave me feeling somewhat incomplete. It left itself open for the possibility for a sequel (lets be honest something will come along here soon). The graphics are gorgeous. There is very little that can be found wrong in this department. There were a couple times were the frame rate dropped when a lot was going on on the screen but it is so slight it is hardly noticeable. Other than that the graphics are simply amazing. My one beef with God of War is the pointless nudity with Aphrodite and her maidens. I understand that Aphrodite was the Greek god of eros but the whole sex scene seems tacked on and uncalled for. While there were sex mini games in the last games they were discrete. In GOW3 sex is put right up front. I feel that the game would have been just as good without it and thus it was not necessary. If you can get past the nudity in this scene and the nudity with Poseidon's daughter (not as explicit) then this is a great game.
