If I had to give this game an accurate rating, I would put it at a solid 9.8/10.
Since the ending of God of War 3, I have been waiting for the next installment for the God of War series. I already knew going into it I was going to get the Platinum trophy for this game. Seeing the initial reviews, I was ecstatic to see that this next installment hasn't tarnished the God of War name.
The game has amazing mechanics and a new look at combinations without going too far away from the classic GoW fighting style.
The PS4 Pro version was very nice with having performance mode. The 4k mode wasn't ready and the frame drops are too bad to have it enabled for my taste. I enjoy hovering around 40-50 fps but this was part of the reason why I think this game was a 9/10. It just didn't feel like a 10/10 for me, certain parts of the game seemed a little rushed in comparison or too drawn out.
The story has a long-lasting impact, long after you finish it you will be wondering what could come next. The best part for me, was that, it left you with questions, and the only way that these questions can be answered are with another game in the series to come.
