Gamespot's criticism towards this game is horrendous. It's easily the best Godzilla video game released in the US ever. I wouldn't say the same for the DS or PS2 version, but whatever. The reason this game is cool is because of the huge monster list, the sleek environments, and the overall gameplay. We don't play Godzilla for the freaking story, we play it 'cause it's fun. The only complaint i have is the fact the areas are already half destroyed when you start, and some monsters are more powerful than others in all ways. I've concluded Mothra and Jet Jaguar are the most pointless characters for you to want to play, they just....suck. The other monster's are awesome and have absolutely stunning and awesome designs. My favorite being the Gigan from Godzilla: Final Wars. The cutscenes are boring and more like a bunch of flashcards with music so just skip them when playing Story mode. The game has a ton of customizable game type options anywhere from Military presence to the type of Crystals that pop out of the ground randomly. BUY THE GAME!! ^_^
