I found Golden Axe enjoyable. While it might not have the flashy gameplay mechanics that Ninja Gaiden or the flashy grafics Heavenly Sword it's still a decent game. What I liked best was the art design. The game perfected the artistic feel of the Conan movies from the 80's. I didn't find the game as overly difficult as the reviewers made it out to be. I thougth it was just right. The game is simplistic yet still enjoyable. Over all it reminds me of how games use to be before they were over complicated. However I wish there could have been more charecters to choose from and co op would have made it even better. While the game isn't perfect it's not as bad as the reviewers say. I would have to say over all the game is decent. Check your local gamestop bagin bin. If you like hack n slash give it a try you might be suprised.
