Golden Sun Dark Dawn takes everything that Golden Sun for the GBA was and makes it ten times better!

Golden Sun Dark Dawn is the next in a series of Golden Sun games by Camelot. Golden Sun Dark Dawn is everything the Final Fantasy games for the DS should have been and more. The Graphics are stunning 3D Visuals that add life to what was once a 2D world. The Summons are awesome making combat a real visual treat especially when you get to use the more powerful summons and even though the animations are lengthy you will be so amazed by the graphics that you will probably never skip any of them. The character models are amazing mirroring that of Final Fantasy 7. The story is awesome providing an encyclopedia for those who like lore and making the world seem more real. The enemies are cool as well combining childish jokes with adult themes. Overall the game is just an amazing work of art by Camelot and definitely will go on as a classic for the DS if only because it combines a childish exterior with a dark and adult story.
The only complaint with the game is the menu system is a bit difficult to use as it has been taken directly from the GBA version. Finally, the puzzle bits are quite long and require some real dungeon trecking as well as puzzle solving which can be difficult at times and frustrating at others.
Overall the game is amazing and despite its flaws is one of the best RPG's for the DS right now. Square-Enix should take note of how Golden Sun works because Golden Sun is everything the old Final Fantasy games were and everything the remakes for the DS should have been.
