Like a good pair of shoes, you need both to completely understand. Golden Sun: The Lost Age, is the to be continued story of Golden Sun. The Lost Age is longer and has more twists in the story as is picks up all the pieces and puts them together. This time around you start the game as the people you were chasing in the first game. Later in the game you meet up with the party from the first game and team up, having control of eight people total. Thats not all, certain things you do in the first game can effect this game. Leading to sidequests and special items. Many abilities and weapons were only found in the first game. The real beauty is when you end up combining Items, spells, and Djinn of the first game with this game. You will be able to do the best summons, that are only formed if you have all Djinn. Think of Golden Sun as if it were a two disc game. You wouldn't play only disc one and quit. Well this is the same, if you played the first you will play the Lost Age.
