Golden Sun: TLA is, by far and wide, the best role-playing game to appear on a handheld video game system.

There's no doubt about it that the original Golden Sun was a very good role-playing game when it was released on the GBA in 2001. Now comes a sequel to that game that vastley improves on the first game to become an instant masterpiece.

The graphics are lushley detailed, from traversing the world map to when your party engages into battle. The sounds are the best of what the GBA can put out and the music has an awesome ambiance to it.

The controls are the same from the first game, which is a very good thing, given the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach. The biggest improvement is the gameplay, which gives you an opportunity to transfer your characters' stats and other items from the original Golden Sun, via either old-school password or link cable. Also of note is the game is a lot longer to complete, which means you'll get your money's worth out of this title.

By far and wide, Golden Sun: TLA is the best role-playing game you can buy for the GBA.
