Not only did this game introduce me to the great world of RPGs, it's still one of my favorite's!
User Rating: 9.4 | Golden Sun GBA
Golden Sun tells the story of Issac and his three friends on their quest to retrieve the Elemental Stars. But that's all I'm giving away. Even though the story is somewhat hard to follow with its long dialogue sequences, it is fantastic, and keeps you progressing throughout the game. The graphics for Golden Sun are amazing, and not just for the GBA. This game has some of the most bright, colorful, and polished graphics seen on any hand-held. Although there is some slowdown during the great summon sequences in battle, they are a joy to watch over and over. Summoning the gods was one of the most fun aspects of the game. The sound in the game is pretty good. It's no star Final Fantasy soundtrack, but it's up there. The music during the random battle encounters and boss battle will have you humming along once you get used to them. The random battle are set just perfectly. You won't encounter a monster every five steps so there is no worrying about getting angry at that. But the random battle aren't too scarce in case you want to level up. Overall Golden Sun is an amazing RPG experience, and one that shouldn't be missed.
