A great original RPG for the GBA.
[Game Play] - GS is a standard turn-based RPG that incorporates some zelda-esque puzzles throughout the mainframe of the game, and tough enemies as well. Along the way, Djinnis will accompany Isaac and friends, who can raise stats, bestow certain powers, allocated together to be summoned in battle, and even change character classes. Each Djinni represents different elements: Mars, Jupiter, Venus and Mercury. Each character themselves are innate to a certain Djinni, but mixing Djinni up can lead to better and stronger character classes.
"Pysnergy", a magic power each of the characters possess or acquire can be used to solve the various puzzles in the game, such as using it to move pillars, read one's mind, or even reveal some hidden treasures or areas. A lot of the puzzles in the game are very clever, and in some cases will really make you think.
In battle, you can choose all your character's attacks beforehand without enemies attacking. The best thing about battles is that once they commence, they really seem fast paced, and some of the attacks and summons used in battle can be real devastating.
[Graphics] - The graphics in the game push the GBA to its limit, and show off some real nice color combinations. One of my only complaints are some character models. Each character look sort of clay-like, and in battle, some enemies pixels seem to mesh together and make them look a bit odd. Other than that, the highlight is how each magic attack or summon really flourishes and pushes the hardware to the limit. It's real nice to look at.
[Sound] - None of the music is really all that enticing, although it does have it's moments, it's none too memorable, but not bad either.
[Overall] - It's a fun game to play that separates itself a little bit from the rest of RPGs today that seem to just mimic the formula to get by.
