All right everyone. If you are reading this review you are a bit late to play Golden Sun. But dont worry, go pick the game up. I completed the game a few weeks ago. It is the most fun i have ever had with a turnbased RPG. You might be asking what is so great about this game well.....ALOT OF THINGS. First of all the combat system is quite flawless, and has a deph like no other. You have the simple option during your attack phase of using a regular attack, using psynergy (magic) or using a djiin. By far the most usefull is the Djiin. Not only do they do damage to your opponenet or boost your attributes, BUT they also give you points when you summon them towards summoning massive attacks. The psynergy also has alot of deph all four of you caracters all have different styles of psynergy ranging from ice to fire to healing. Then there is the story. The story is great to say the least. Although is some what stereotipical. The story kept me driving and i am sure it will keep you going too. The point of the game is that the protagonist, Issac, has to save a girl and a prefessor from the baddies. The baddies are going across the land actavating various lighthouses, which is doing both good and bad. You are forced to stop them. The length of this story is massive and they throw in a few extras (Crossbone Island).
Well im sure now you understand the basic mechanics of the game. Hopefuly you understand how fun this game is. All the way to the last boss, who is extreemly hard. A stradegy to beat him is to use defense djiin with Garret and Issac and then attack with Ivan and Mia. So when you go into this battle make sure your caracters are well equiped.
Obviously Golden Sun is an amazing game. Dont be afraid to pick it up. I did, and i have to say it was the best game i have played all year by far. Probably the best RPG i have ever completed.
