This game was the first game that I got for my GBA at that time. It was, for me at least, the first RPG on the GBA and the first RPG that I played on a console ever. This was the game that got me hooked to gaming, although I didn't even know that games like these were called RPG's. I have never been so hooked on to a game than this one.The story I found interesting. It was amazingly simple to understand, with the lifelike (some what cartoonish) characters present the story was not at all hard to swallow. I understood it really well, and actually wanted more and more and more. The soundtrack was great, it totally seemed to blend in with the game. The battle system was full of amazing graphics ( for a GBA game) which were, at that time, kinda hard to see because the GBA had no backlight, now it does. ( The GBA SP at least, or the Nintendo DS) . Nonetheless, they kept me hooked.Truly, this game takes out the best of the GBA, and guess what there's more.
Honest to God, let me tell you something, I never even knew what an RPG was when I first picked up this game, yet I KNEW I had to get it. How could I not? I knew I had made the right choice after all. Never has a game kept me so hooked, staring at the screen for hours on end. To me, this game can compete with any final fantasy game, probably even win. The story is easy to swallow and amazingly written, the sound blends in with the game, the controls are easy and the graphics are great. Everything is present in this game- and more.
