An absolute masterpiece
First the graphics. Though it is not revolutionary, it is very charming and great to look at. The character portraits are very well done and contain alot of nice detail.
Now the gameplay. The Battles are great and deliver a challenge without being impossible to beat. Some of the spells and summons are very cool. The dungeons and puzzels are actually somewhat challenging but still manage to be fun. Also interactions with the other characters and townspeople are done very well.
The sound is also a great addition. It is not as breathtaking or memorable as the final fantasy games but it is still fun and easy to like. I couldactually listen to it without becoming annoid at all.
Finally the story. This is the critical area of the RPG genre. And Golden Sun definately delivers. The story is very very good. It is not too serious and pompous like most rpgs however it is still interesting and fun. I never found myself bored.
It should also be noted that this game has great replay value. I have never gotten bored during any of my many playthroughs.
All in all Golden sun is a masterpiece. That any fan of rpgs andmaybe others will love and should definately pick it up.
